One dictionary of StarDict consists of three files "dz, idx and ifo". You can seach in previous posts. Other dictionaries are for spellchecking. In DGT-OmegaT are folders: SPELLERS\Both and among EU languages are these polish files: hyph_pl_PL.dic 37 931 24.08.2011 00:13 pl_PL.aff 245 109 24.08.2011 00:13 pl_PL.dic 4 521 495 24.08.2011 00:13 Cheers from South Silesia, Milan www.condak.cz/nove | | | Didier Briel France Local time: 08:05 English to French + ... As indicated in the web page you mention, these are "free Polish dictionary for use in spell-checking". Spell-checking dictionaries cannot be used in the /dictionary folder. In that folder, you can use StarDict (and Lingvo DSL) dictionaries. Failing that, does anybody know of any Polish language dictionaries suitable for this program? Searching in Google for "polish dictionary stardict" is a good start. Didier

See more Thank you both for your replies, and for pointing out where I had been going wrong. I have suceeded in finding a Polish dictionary now using Didier's search term. It's not very good though, so I have been searching for more and have just found some here: http://download.huzheng.org/misc2/ I haven't quite managed to get my head round the 'GT-OmegaT folders: SPELLERS\Both' suggested by Milan or locate them specifically. Hopefully I'll be able to crack on with the ones I've just found and in the meantime will get more familiar with the terminology and resources. Thanks again. Christopher ▲ Collapse

DGT-OmegaT is a fork of an OmegaT | Jan 26, 2018 |

DGT-OmegaT is a fork of a majority users use (me too): DGT-OmegaT download is here: http://185.13.37.79:8003/index.php/p/omegat-core/downloads/13/ and Download Full CAT suite is here: http://185.13.37.79:8003/index.php/p/wizard/downloads/26/ CAT-Full-Archive.exe includes DGT-OmegaT A second advantage of DGT-OmegaT version are segmentation rules in file segmentation.config file for translation from source language as Czech or Polish. Six Polish dictionaries and one opened segment in PL-CS OmegaT project: http://www.condak.cz/nove/2018-02/03/cs/00.html I added two dictionaries from mova.org, too. No one dictionary is for PL-CS language pair. Milan | | | Glossary from Polish StarDict dictionary | Feb 5, 2018 |
[/quote] The dictionary is file to view terminology only. But a glossary can be edited. I tried to decompile SAP-en-de files and this attempt failed with StarDict Editor. Program Valodas (from year 2012) worked. After this success I converted via Valodas a dictionary Kosciuszko-pl-en into TXT glossary. Milan
