I know the topic has been discussed before and I worked through a handful of suggested solutions, but all to no avail. It is driving me mad.
I want to insert small non-breaking spaces into my translation. To that purpose I created a QuickInsert and copied the non-breaking space (out of the Palatino Linotype font) into the input mask. But the lines do still break at this character.
Does anybody have any idea what I am doing wrong?

Wow! This is a solution that I would have never thought of. But you're absolutely right: I copied a paragraph back into Word, where the space did it's non-breaking work smoothly.
I'm flabbergasted. Wonder why it is that regular non-breaking spaces don't break the line in Trados, but small ones do.
