Hi, could anyone tell me how I would go about changing the name that appears on my profile (and thus in kudoz answers and questions, forum posts, and consequently throughout Google...)?

For now, I see I have a choose between my first and last name, or my user name. I would like to change that to my business' name.

Hi Mara,

You should visit your profile and select the "Contact" tab, and then click on the "Edit all" button at the bottom of that page.

Now you will be able to modify your Full name (First name + Family name) and/or your User name (it must be between 3 and 15 characters in length).

You can also select your Public name with two options:
  • Show others your first and last name, as entered in profile
  • Show others your username, as used i... See more

Please note that if you display your full name, it may be cached by some search engines. If you decide to show your username later, it will take a certain period of time for them to update their cache.

I have another question on the same topic. Will I lose the ID verification mark in my profile if I change just my username (my first and my last name will stay the same)?

Hi Oleksandr,

Probably best to get confirmation from site staff, but I changed my user name and it didn't affect my VID.
