Feedback from client. Thanks for your suggestions. Actually, Claudia 16 comes closest. I consulted the client, she is the professional who needed her academic records translated, and she said: "A2 son ramos que no tienen nota y solo se aprueban o reprueban, entonces A2 es aprobado y R2 es reprobado." So for now I have rendered it as "Failed on the Basis of Concept" for lack of a better solution. X(

I often translate "concepto" as "item", for lists, reports, and so on. Is there a chance that there is a blank after this word "concepto" which can be filled in with some other reason for failure?
