Spanish term

Se ha seguido desarrollando

Spanish to English Other Social Science, Sociology, Ethics, etc.
Hola!
Esta frase me da vueltas y vueltas. El contexto es el siguiente: "Además de los fondos otorgados al equipo a través del proyecto X, los que han permitido realizar investigación científica sobre la temática propuesta y la consolidación de un grupo de trabajo, se ha seguido desarrollando o publicando en base a los siguientes proyectos relacionados con temas de estratificación social"
No se me ocurre cómo dejar eso de "se ha seguido desarrollando o publicando...."
¿Alguna sugerencia?
Muchas gracias!

FVS (X) Mar 5, 2011:
Desarrollar often means just doing rather than development. Thus, maybe

..., work and publications have continued based on the following projects related to....

Proposed translations

20 hrs
Selected

further research has been developed or published

Research is obviously what is being either developed or published. This phrase is simpler - like the original - than most of the alternatives proposed. "Further" does the job of "seguido". And it remains in the passive/impersonal voice. The sentence would continue "...based on the following projects on topics of social stratification".

(Based on the following related projects,)development and publication has carried on

with regard to themes/subject matter of....

I would turn the word order round, and in addition make nouns of 'desarollar' and 'publicar'.

This will fit in your sentence.

state the subject of "seguir" instead of leaving it in the passive voice

this is what I always do with similar constructions. There is no natural way to put them in English unless you state the subject, for instance:

"the library has continued to develop..."
