Autobiography
Contexto:
Gracias,
Barbara

whimsical/fanciful communal reverie
One option. Perhaps due to this whimsical communal reverie, seagulls are/have always been dear to the hearts of the people of Barcelona.

: I really like the choice of 'whimsical' ....'whimsical confusion' perhaps? I thought of "twist" too...or "spin" might work too. Enjoy your weekend!

Cheers and thanks. I thought that the situation stated as a "confusion de cuento" was a little short on the story end, so I opted for "reverie". If more story is provided elsewhere, maybe "confusing twist" or "whimsical twist" would work.

confusión de cuento
misconception
This seems like a pretty good one-word solution to me!
15 hrs
blurred popular imagery
the 'confusion' is that the people of Barcelona spontaneously lump the (literary) references together. It's not really a criticism, it's more like a case of folk etymology!
Note from asker:
Your option, a very, very good one, is what I went with. Unfortunately, they closed the question before I could get away from my work to award the points. Thank you very much. |

mythical muddling
reflects the semi-alliteration and the main idea. perhaps a bit too colorful but there you have it
Something went wrong...
