Spanish term

trabajo fin de posgrado/de Curso

Spanish to English Other Education / Pedagogy Qualification
These terms appear repeatedly in the curriculum for a post-graduate diploma in intellectual disability.

I have opted for 'end of course project', but there are lots of other options. I have looked at lots of university websites and the Royal College for Psychiatry. Other options include: work-based project? research project? I don't think that dissertation or thesis are suitable in this context.

It is a 12,000-18,000 word project that may include experimental work. It should include: intro, abstract, aim, plan, materials and method, project development, results and discussion, any results, bibliography and annexes.

It is also referred to simply as 'el trabajo' at various points.

I would be grateful for any feedback or comments.

dissertation / degree final project

To be honest I think the description you provide (the length of the project and the fact that it's done at the end of the course) is actually very close, if not identical, to a Masters dissertation in the UK. A thesis would normally be much longer. However, if you want to avoid the potential pitfalls of using a rough "equivalent", you could use something like "Master's degree final project" (as used by the University of Valencia in the link below)
Peer comment(s):

agree Toby Wakely : Yes, have used something similar in past translations

agree Charles Davis : I think either dissertation (assuming it's for the UK) or project could be used. But Roxana says it's for a PG diploma, not a master's, so not "degree".
