Discussion

sabela prieto (asker) Jan 30, 2020:
This is a Galician restaurant which offers a wide choice of fish and shellfish from the area and locally fished products. The menu items range from "centolla de la ría", "camarones" to a great variety of fish (sargo, San martiño, pargo...); next to the item the expression (en veda) is included to show that this product isn't available for this reason.
Andrea Shah Jan 30, 2020:
Additional context Hi Sabela! Could you provide more context, such as the full name of the menu item and its description?

closed season

I believe they are referring to an official ban on fishing certain species during certain periods, usually to protect stocks.

The closed season is the period of the year when it is prohibited to kill certain types of animal or fish.
