Description of high-end footwear, I think it is referring to keeping the foot in place inside the shoe, but I can't think of a short way to say this in English. The text is from table without much room.

Es una piel resistente y con cuerpo que proporciona muy buena sujeción.

Neilmac: I think "grip" is in relation to the bottom of the shoe and the pavement/floor, etc. and I have used that term as they describe the outer sole of the shoe. "Sujeción" (I believe) refers to the upper part of the shoe holding the foot in place so it does not slide around inside the shoe.

Grip refers to the traction the footwear has, whether against the terrain/ground or the foot inside.
Also comes in spray form:
