China de mármol

Spanish to English Other Construction / Civil Engineering decoration

I need to know what china de mármol is in English. It obviously has nothing to do with China.

Discussion

philgoddard Jul 23, 2021:
Cerramiento is enclosure, which I take to mean walls, not floor.
Frank Gerace Jul 21, 2021:
church floopr material It probably is the finish of cement mixed with real vmarble chips which is then sanded to a uniformity. I vaguely recall it being called "terrazo" (probably a brand name trying to sound Italian). At the very best quality, it is called pietradura
David Hollywood Jul 21, 2021:
parece tratarse de la nave de una catedral pero...
David Hollywood Jul 21, 2021:
Or a cathedral?
David Hollywood Jul 21, 2021:
Is this a church?

marble pebbledash

DRAE defines 'china' as 'piedra pequeña y a veces redondeada', so it's gravel or chips.
http://dle.rae.es/china?m=form

Since this is being used to cover walls, I think it's pebbledash.

A marble with even beige and cream tones for a light pebbledashing finish.

If you're not sure about 'trituración', it's 'crushing'.
Note from asker:
Thanks Phil. I might go for marble pebbledash.

marblesheen

Marblesheen also known as Marblelite is a decorative coating applied to the surface of concrete pool shells with the average thickness between 5-25mm. It is primarily composed of white cement and white marble chips between 1-2mm in diameter. If the Marblesheen coating was applied prior to 1990, it may include asbestos.

If it's a church or cathedral ok

Nave, central and principal part of a Christian church, extending from the entrance (the narthex) to the transepts (transverse aisle crossing the nave in front of the sanctuary in a cruciform church) or, in the absence of transepts, to the chancel (area around the altar).
Note from asker:
Thanks David, no it is not a church or cathedral, just normal business premises. Indeed, I can only find reference to marblesheen for pools.
Peer comment(s):

neutral philgoddard : I can only find this as a pool coating. If you Google 'marblesheen -pool', you get no relevant hits.
