I found another mention of 'utilizzo estemporaneo' (not utilizza estemporanea) in a context which my be similar to yours though in a different field. See https://www.istitutoboselli.it/attachments/article/4149/1. D... This would also seem to support Lugi's suggestion.

@Lirka I think that "immediate use" fits better in this specific case.
I would use "extemporaneous use" or "extemporaneous compounding" in the case suggested by Pennylyd.
I found this definition:
"Extemporaneous compounding is the preparation of a therapeutic product for an individual patient in response to an identified need.1 It is a practical way to have medicines supplied when there is no other option. For example, compounding may be useful for patients with dysphagia who are unable to swallow solid medications whole, when an appropriate dose or dosage form is not commercially available, when patients require an individualised dose, or when medicines must be delivered via nasogastric or gastrostomy tubes"

@pennylyd Hai ragione. Quella che tu correttamente riporti è un'altra situazione di preparazione estemporanea. Tuttavia, IMO non ritengo sia questo il caso. Non vi è la necessità di sostituire un farmaco o una formulazione indisponibile. Ritengo che sia più un caso di instabilità chimico-fisica e pertanto è necessario agire "estemporaneamente".

This may be helpful. From the Collins dictionary: "An extemporaneous preparation is a drug specially prepared by a pharmacist because an appropriate drug is not readily available.
If no methadone is available, pharmacists can make an extemporaneous preparation using a specified formula".
This has always been my understanding of extemporaneous use (as a pharmacist).

Concordo pienamente con i vostri dubbi. In genere un “utilizzo estemporaneo” consente l’uso di un farmaco in un tempo immediatamente successivo alla sua preparazione. Viene impiegato soprattutto per quei principi attivi o per quelle formulazioni estremamente instabili con il rischio di perdita di atttivita’ o di efficacia.
Non comprendo pertanto la traduzione con “frozen section”. Mah

Maybe is a mistake, could be "utilizzo estemporaneo" or "utilizzare estemporaneamente", meaning use without preparation.
However, you should ask the client.
