dar(se) de sí.
Esta locución tiene dos significados: a) 'Ensancharse o perder tensión'. Con este sentido se aplica a cosas materiales, preferentemente a tejidos y prendas de vestir, y solo se usa en tercera persona, también en forma pronominal: Este traje (se) ha dado mucho de sí.
