Swedish term

Resultatregleringar (activa)

Swedish to English Bus/Financial Accounting Annual report
Hi - I'm trying to verify the EN translation for this Finlandswedish account term. I've found Resultatregleringar as "accrued income" on a Finnish trilingual glossary and elsewhere Resultatregleringar (passiva) as accrued expenses. In my document "Resultatregleringar" is followed by the entry PASSIVA TOTALT in one spot, and Resultatregleringar is followed by Resultatregleringar (activa) in another. I have the feeling the underlying concept encompasses more than simply "accrued income"/

Any help is most welcome!

There is an existing entry for Resultatregleringar but it does not fit at all in my contexts.

Thanks!

Discussion

Accruals is the catch-all term. They can be assets (money owed by someone else) or liablities (money owed to someone else). Cut away the waffle and I think that's what Mr MM is also trying to say.

Proposed translations

Selected

accruals / year-end apportionments & adjustments (assets = income accrued & expenses prepaid)

Passiva > Liabilities : income recvd. in advance.

resultatreglering > income (profit) adjustment; koncernen > intercompany profit adjustment, Gullberg (the later overlapping / mixed up with transfer pricing adjustment).

Do not conflate apportionments / splits with appropriations = distributions or set-aside of profit to reserves, plus sharing of trading *losses* as in the first weblink : 'apppropriations aimed at equalising reported net profit.'
Example sentence:

IATE DE/EN for comparison: FINANCE accounting [BUSINESS AND COMPETITION] COM de Rechnungsabgrenzungsposten COM en prepayments and accrued income > en *accrual*

neutral Adrian MM. : Please read my answer *carefully*. Is my first webklink and IMO mixes up appropriation with apportionment, gives no refs. and introduces a non-existent concept of 'equalisation (adjustment?) of net profit'.
