Als er in die tabel een waarde wordt vermeld voor het relatief risico, zou je inderdaad met 'waarde' kunnen vertalen.
Die zin zou ik dan echter als volgt vertalen:
De waarde voor het relatief risico bij vergelijking van patiënten met een 'abnormale' uitkomst met patiënten met een 'normale' uitkomst wordt weergegeven in tabel 3-1 (zie pagina 21).
In de tweede zin is het inderdaad een andere context en een andere betekenis. Daar is het een persoonsvorm van het werkwoord 'meten'.
Ik dacht nu ook aan 'waarde'. Wat het algoritme precies doet, is (nog) niet duidelijk, misschien verder in de tekst wel. Wat 'meting' betreft, het woord 'measure' wordt ook wel eens gebruikt voor 'meting', lichtjes verkeerd denk ik.
'meting' lijkt me overigens niet correct; dat zou 'measurement' zijn. Ik neig eerder naar 'maat', 'mate' of 'maatstaf'.
