English term

branded expert services

English to Finnish Bus/Financial International Org/Dev/Coop SME
I am translating a document from English into Latvian about EU SME policy, and part of the document also refers to some Finnish programmes in the field.
A recurrent expression in these descriptions is "branded expert services". If I look it up in Google, it apprears only in texts of Finnish origin, so I suspect it is a loan translation.
Example: ViestinVaihto is a “branded expert service”, hence the service is “formal” but can be flexibly tailored to customers’ needs.

I have also found this information in the website of the Ministry of Trade and Industry:
http://www.ktm.fi/index.phtml?l=en&s=683

Am I right to interpret these "branded expert services" as "standartised expert services"?

Thanks!

Ah, while I wrote you already added a note, thanks! Now I have something to work with.

Thanks for the answer, Matthias, but I do not speak Finnish. I want to know if "branded expert services" mean "standartised expert services" in English (taking into account the meaning of original term in Finnish), as the current English phrase means little to me :).

It sounds a bit strange to me, but it is the finnish version.
One of the google links was a EU document mentioning "eAskel" as a "branded expert service". Then, googling for "eAskel" brought th solution. Here is a link with Google results for the finnish version:

Forgot one thing: This is the singular. Nominative plural would be tuotteistetut asiantuntijapalvelut. Maybe it is itself a loan translation from elsewhere. The verb tuotteistaa means developing a practical use or value to something in order to support marketing. And those expert services are experts in this kind of value adding. That is why "standartized" would not be the right choice.
