You are right, Dave, the maker is German and ther text I have (in ttx form, no original or pdf) has been probably translated from German. From what I understand itis about an abrasive (shot blasting) machine and that "canted" abrasive might mean metal particles of irregular (not round) shape.
As regards the "turbiner blades", the machine works based on a single rotojet turbine fitted with blades through which the abrasive is shot. You see, the form of the text does not give further clues, since it is isolated sentences.

Not English Having re-read a few times, this has to be a (poor) translation from another language into English, or a non-native speaker's attempt at writing English.
If you can work out what language this was originally written in, or the likely native language of the writer, that might give clues.
Can you also give more context please? I have a few translation ideas already, but "turbine blade" doesn't seem to fit - I wonder if that's another mistranslation?

Looks like a non-English original to me "is being reduced" isn't correct English in this context, which makes me think that your "English" original is a translation from another language: in which case, "canted abrasive" may also be poor translation from another language.
