English term

inventory productivity

English to Hebrew Bus/Financial Other Types of transactions and
In the title of a press release in EN (US) about fashion merchandising, the following expression appears:
[Company x and company y collaborate] to Enhance Inventory Productivity
Target audience must be professionals in general business, investments and fashion industry.
I know about inventory optimization, but not of inventory productivity.
Any suggestion what it is and how to say it in Hebrew? (preferably with references)

Discussion

Getting Closer Thank you all for your good suggestions. I especially liked Lingopro's and Hezi Mor's ideas. In case haven't read my response to Lingopro and her very useful link: In the section covering inventory I found something that comes even closer to the meaning of the desired expression, but is too cumbersome to be used as a direct translation, namely : קביעת רמות מלאי אופטימליות
Hezy Mor Nov 19, 2011:
I'd go with Evegenyi's suggestion. True, the term has not made it to the He professional jargon, but given previous experience, it can be anticipated that the He will adopt the literal translation.

I assume you have seen this link which describes what inventory productivity means (last paragraph of the first section).

Another option, based on the above link, might be rivchiut nihul hamlay.

שיפור רווחיות המלאי

In your case "to enhance inventory productivity = שיפור רווחיות המלאי

The article in the link, talks about שיפור הרווחיות, and under the section about אפקטיביות you can find מלאי, so perhaps it can also be שיפור אפקטיביות המלאי.

Any way you look at it, it's about improving profitability, hence my choice of רווחיות.

That is why I think שיפור רווחיות המלאי can help you, both by naming the action and by making it less cumbersome, because the underlying meaning or outcome of קביעת רמות מלאי אופטימליות is: שיפור רווחיות המלאי.

IMHO, קביעת רמות מלאי אופטימליות goes a little too far to say something the English text doesn't say directly. I understand inventory productivity to include all actions related to inventory and to making it more productive (hence profitable), which includes among other things, setting optimal inventory levels. So it is not only cumbersome, as you said, it also seems to slightly limit the meaning of the source.
Note from asker:
Thank you, Lingopro. So far this comes the closest to what I thought it meant. However, in your link, רווחיות is a function of the whole supply chain. In the section covering inventory I found something that comes even closer to the meaning of the desired expression, but is too cumbersome to be used as a direct translation, namely : קביעת רמות מלאי אופטימליות

פריון המלאי

And in your case "to enhance inventory productivity" - להגביר את פריון המלאי.

In Hebrew this word combination isn't found yet (nor in my offline and online dictionaries, neither in Google), but the translations of both its components - מלאי for "inventory" and פריון for "productivity" - stroke their roots in Hebrew long ago, so I would propose just to combine them in Hebrew in the same way they are combined in English.

יעילות מלאי

"פריון מלאי" רעיון טוב אלא שטרם נמצאו לו משתמשים. "יעילות מלאי" כבר בשימוש בחוגים העוסקים בנושא. עדיף להתחבר למה שכבר מוכר. אני מביא כאן הפנייה אחת למאמר על שיפור יעילות המלאי באינטל, חיפוש קצר מניב תוצאת נוספות.
