English term

to push into the black

Push into: ........a avansa prin

the black: ........ The idea is that traditionally a bank statement would show figures in RED for any debits/overdrawn amounts, and in black for credits/amounts in credit. Therefore we say "in the red" or "in the black".

Push into suggests that one has just managed to get there, due to a slight push (metaphorically).

So the expression says that one has just managed to push their financial situation into credit (rather than before, when they were maybe in debt or "in the red)).

Push into: e.g. "I just pushed my into the shop before it closed."
