Sep 25, 2015 20:15: Daniel Arnold (X) changed "Level" from "PRO" to "Non-PRO"
PRO (1): barbarameyer
Non-PRO (3): philgoddard, freekfluweel, Daniel Arnold (X)
When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.
Proposed translations
Work and Income service centre
You may need to register first with Work and Income as a Job Seeker to be considered for specific roles. This may involve an appointment at a local Work and Income service centre to complete the registration process.

Daniel Arnold (X)
: Einfach nur "Work and INcome" dann ist es definitv richtig

barbarameyer
: Work and Income office

: Service centre is definitely NOT the correct term for the overall organisation, maybe "service" alone could be (in Britain, it'd be "services," but similar in application). They have regional offices and service centres. Just picking one is not adequate.

philgoddard
: This bears no resemblance to the original. This is like translating "Berlin is the capital of Germany" as "Paris is the capital of France".

: NZ is not a federal country, as such they wont have a federal office either

Björn Vrooman
: Bundesagentur für Arbeit is a sub-division of the Arbeitsministerium in German, much as Work and Income is a service of the Ministry of Social Development, but not the ministry itself.

: Reason why I can only agree with your reference, but with neither of the answers given: It is not the German version, nor is it a "service centre," nor an office (they have service centres and offices, but asker wanted to know the overall term!)
