Julius Aleni 艾儒略 (1582-1649) also included a couple of Aesop’s tales in
his work Wushi Yan Yu《五十言餘》 (1645) for proselytizing purposes.

This is what I have come up with .. thus far..
"My translation...
That is , "The enlarged revised 50 proverbs", named by Matteo Ricci, refers to Proverbs of the Society of Jesuits, if 25 was not enough, it is doubtful 50 will be far from the mark.

Many things here are full of piety, taken from various Gospels and other books. vol. 1
