Hmmm..... Thank you for all the input on this one. I did wonder if "bestllingstyveri" was related to stealing orders made via the Internet as opposed to the "commissioned theft" interpretation. To my mind it could be either in this context. Will check further with client.

Her er det noe muffens Bestillingstyveri betyr at noen bestiller et tyveri, f.eks. får noen tyver til å stjele maleriet "Skrik". Poenget er at tyvene allerede har en avtale med personen de skal selge maleriet til FØR de stjeler maleriet.

Identity thieves: Her dreier det seg derimot om å stjele personopplysninger ved å stjele bestillinger gjort på Internett, vil jeg tro. Dvs. at når en person har gjort en bestilling, og således gitt fra seg personopplysninger, stjeler identitestyvene personopplysningene, ELLER det dreier seg om å gjøre en bestilling i falskt navn, dvs. at tyvene bestiller varer, og stikker av med varene, mens personen de har stjålet personopplysninger fra får regningen. Uansett er ikke "bestillingstyveri" det rette ordet. Ordet er kanskje brukt humoristisk, eller i alle fall brukt i en annen betydning enn den vanlige.

The list of methods... ... contains a number of specific actions, and one very vague action - bestillingstyveri. Whether you call it theft to order or commissioned theft is almost irrelevant - it will remain meaningless unless the 'of what?' question is addressed.

UPDATED: The sign is found, cut into three pieces, like a commissioned theft, perhaps for "a crazed collector".
