Thank you for your responses. I don't think "trade" quite works in this context. Another example from the text would be 'Dekorert med drevne bladornamenter', and here 'wrought' seems to make the most sense. I just wasn't 100 percent sure as metalworking is not at all an area of expertise for me. Thanks again!
