shipping
klassing av tanker, rigger (done by a company that cleans tanks and provides maintenance)
klassing og løpende krav
DNV LLoyds and ABS classify ships etc. for offshore onshore,
but what would a maintenance/cleaning company be doing when it is "klassing"?
classification or classing?
No guessing please. I think this is a very specific term in the tanker/offshore/ship sector.
thanks!

klassifiseringsklargjøring
Kinda pretentious word for just cleaning, but methinks that's what they are trying to say - and who are we to discount their sentiments?

I think it is classification as part of the survey. "Each classed vessel is subject to a specified programme of periodic surveys after delivery. These are based on a five-year cycle and consist of annual surveys, an intermediate survey and a class renewal/special survey (held every 5 years)."

Discussion
...et generelt begrep som brukes i bransjen... vi står ikke for klassifiseringen av riggen/skipet. Vi kan sertifisere tankene....
DNV will do that. The company is preparing the tanks for classification, apparently?
