Spanish term

Q.E.V.F

Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general)
From a witness statement made in a police station relating to a person who has died in Peru. For translation to British English. This is from a statement made by someone who was with the person when they died.

DECLARANTE DIGA: Indique Ud. si conoce al turista ***Q.E.V.F*** [name of person who has died] de ser cierto que grado de amistad, enemistad or parentesco le une? Dijo .... Que si lo conozco desde hace diez años es mi amigo, no uniéndome enemistad ni parentesco alguno.

If you google this term it always comes up in relation to people who have died so I suspect the F is fallecido. Any help much appreciated.

Que En Vida Fue (known in life as)

I do not think “fallecido” is part of the acronym. I believe this acronym simply stands for “Que En Vida Fue”, i.e. “known in life as” or something along these lines.

who in life was

After researching, I found that Q.E.V.F. is written in obituaries, funeral services signs, and other documents when referring to the identity of the deceased person. It is always written before the name and in Spanish, it means who in life was X (name) (quien en vida fue ...). However, I am not sure whether this is used in the UK. As far as I could see, it is not.
