翻译文本 - English英语 Nowadays, people in modern life take great concern in health and health-related industries. Although lots of health products have been introduced to market, a healthy life could be achieved by maintaining good life style and sufficient nutrition. According to World Health Organization (WHO) survey, Japan has been continued crown the highest ranking for the world healthiest longevity country. In Taiwan, average mean lifetime has increased over the past decade, but still under average of developed countries. And so, there are spaces for Taiwan to improve on life style and diet in comparison with Japan. It is undeniable that Japan does have advanced health care system which help to keep Japan on highest ranking, but the main reason lies in Japanese living habits and diet, especially their dietary patterns which have been proved to greatly reduce the chances of heart disease. Besides Japan, European countries or Australia and New Zealand have presenting healthier dietary patterns, especially neighbouring Mediterranean countries.
I was graduated from University of Saskatchewan, majoring in Biochemistry. After returning to my hometown from my gap year in UK for two years, I am getting interest in similarities and differences between a language used in different countries. Gradually, my interest grows into bridging the world without border, and eventually I decided to be a translator.
I have casually translated some online articles since 2006 and have started my translation career without any experience but a clear mindset - to convey and translate the content accurately and precisely into target language with an adequate localization.
After years been translating scientific journals, medical & health information/regulation, technical manuals etc, I am still walking on this path.
To me, translation isn't a "word-to-word" puzzle game but rather a rigorous thinking process.
