Bio

Former mechanical engineer, lived in Canada for 3 years, I now live in Japan as a freelance translator.

Specialized in: manuals for cameras, printers, video games and medical devices. Also handle projects about football related news, semiconductor devices, electronic musical instruments and music equipment!

I can handle big projects (over 150000 words) and I often work in emergency situations (weekends too).

I work on monthly basis, since 2006, with some Japanese agencies based in Tokyo on the edition of manuals for electric appliances and electric devices for very big Japanese machinery makers.

I am familiar with Trados 2007/Studio 2011/2014/2015 and memoQ.

--Brief Work History---------------------------------------------------

In 1990, I started my first professional career as an
engineer in a automotive parts company and then left the
profession in 1995 to get into the translation business.
(1995-1998 stayed in Toronto, Canada)

Current Works : User's manual and specifications for...
- electric appliances and electric machines
- Video / Computer Games (for SONY)
- Sports (especially football, worked for FIFA in 2001-2002 as a translator/interpreter)

Languages : English into Japanese and vice versa.
