Yes, but not regarding soccer Jun 19, 2010

I did the translation of an opinion poll for one of the main sponsors. I would have liked to do more on the topic of sport though. Unfortunately my knowledge of soccer is not as good as my rugby knowledge.

SATI (South African Translators' Institute) gave us a very useful guide for the soccer terminology to be used.

As far as interpreting goes, I think one must have excellent hearing if you want to do interpreting on the spot. All those vuvuzelas and the general noise c

but soccer/football is not quite as big in this part of the world. I have done translations related to hockey, the olympics, car racing, road cycling and mountain biking.
