Hello Colleagues, A client wishes to have the translation in a bilingual format where the translation is presented as: source line target line source paragraph target paragraph I use Trados 2014. Can anyone suggest a workaround that may help me get this format for delivery without having to manually paste each line and paragraph above the target. 1) Eхport your job to any table format. 2) In Word, "convert table to text" use paragraph mark as a separator.
Hi Umang, Since you use Studio 2014, I assume that you're on Windows. If that's the case, check out Transtools. It has the exact tool you need for this job. You just have to change the default setting a bit. Hope this helps! Kamonchanok | | | Umang Dholabhai Inde Local time: 01:48 anglais vers gujarati + ... AUTEUR DU FIL Counter-query | Sep 21, 2015 |

I did explore Transtools however, I could not find something thay may be of help. I am searching for a way which may help me either at the file preparation stage or later when the translation is done and I have to export the clean file. Sergei, thank you for the suggestion. Do you mean I should export the content from the sdlxliff itself? I ask this because just by converting my translation into a table will not help for I need to have the source too for the final delivery.

By setting 2 source lines, make one [first] line as hidden texts. You translate only the non-hidden texts on the second line. After cleaning up the bilingual file, set back hidden fonts as non-hidden fonts. And you get each bilingual line or paragraph as desired. Soonthon L. | | | About Transtools | Sep 22, 2015 |

Check out this link http://www.translatortools.net/word-bilingualassistant.html. Change the delimiter to line break. Then hide all source text (again, by using transtools). Then you import the file in Studio, translate, export the file, and unhide everything using Transtools. This is probably the easiest way. Just let Transtools do everything for you. | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Studio 2014: how to create a bilingual final file Trados Studio 2022 Freelance | The leading translation software used by over 270,000 translators.
