Hi all,

It took just a few months for ChatGPT to shake up entire industries, and the translation industry is no difference.
I have received a request to train an AI engine recently, and I have read from translators already working on AI training jobs (or boldly declining them).
So I am curious: what does these training jobs entail? What do you need to do?

I received an email from an agency last week that started with "We have a new interesting project to enhance AI Modeling Writing Software..." I suppose that's related to the job you describe?
They were offering 7 USD per hour. How much are they offering in your pair, if you don't mind revealing it?

I received two of those job offers (obviously through Proz), both offering a rate that can be considered ridiculously low in my language pairs.

Just for the record, what I have heard from other industries is that everyone is wetting themselves over its potential but nobody is actually using it yet for anything much.
