Can anybody write the word "east" in Hebrew?

The inscription "east" is made on a piece of relief of Dani Caravan's memorial site "the meeting point" in Regensburg. I don't know how to read them.

Besides, it is said Dani Caravan also has his works in Japan and in South Korea. Where are his works exactly in Asia, and what special significance do they have? I can't find any clue in the internet.

Hi, here's how "east" is written in Hebrew:

מזרח

[spelt: Mizrah, with the "h" sounding like "ch" in the Scottish loch.]

Caravan's work in Nuremberg is translated as "way of human rights". But I would call it "street of human rights" , which is more appropriate according to its German name "Strasse der Menschenrechte". What does its Hebrew name suggest?

Are the tree-like columns in the Olympic village in Seoul? What special meaning is behind the picture? Is his work in Japan also somewhere in the slides?
