Yesterday we lost a legend of Soviet/Russian translation/interpreting, Leonid Volodarskiy. First of all known as the first interpreter of hundreds of Western movies that came to Russia since 1980s (with the typical nasal dubbing voice due to the twice broken nose), he also was a talented literary translator, with his works including Salinger and King. He interpreted most movies simultaneously wthout preparation and never watched them afterwards. Drink a toast to his memory, guys...
