A new bug appears to have developed in the system, as I have recently received three password reminders for a KudoZ question I asked today. However, I did not request one password reminder, let alone three!

Does anyone know what might be the cause of this? The question concerned is a German-English query about "backengebrochen".

Best Regards

Not a bug--someone else requested password reminder Jun 5, 2003

Rowan,

Password reminders are a feature, not a bug. Someone else tried to grade your question but was unable to because he didn't have the password, so he asked for a password reminder. Obviously, we can't check whether someone is authorized to request a password reminder, because if he was authenticated he wouldn't need a password. The password reminder was useless to this person, however, since only you received it--only you were able to grade this question.

Thanks Jason. Appreciate that.

But why would someone else try to grade my question? Unless maybe it was someone so unfamiliar with the system they thought they were clicking on "Propose an Answer"?

Very strange. But hopefully, just a one-off. I asked a another question yesterday and there were no password reminders for that.

Thank you once again for your assistance.

Best Regards
