Receiving term questions too late

Again and again I have replied to term questions only to find out that the same answer has already been provided by another member (the latest example being half an hour ago), although on opening the question I found that no answers had yet been proposed. It strikes me as a bit of a waste of time doing research into a question only to find that it\'s already been answered and that in some cases points have even been awarded; also it looks a bit silly when one looks through all the replies to a q... It strikes me as a bit of a waste of time doing research into a question only to find that it\'s already been answered and that in some cases points have even been awarded; also it looks a bit silly when one looks through all the replies to a question and sees the same answer repeated once or several times.

Perhaps it would be an idea to give some kind of indication to the person replying that his or her answer has already been suggested.
