SSL is not supported for ProZ.com hosted accounts. SSL generally requires the use of a dedicated IP address. ProZ.com hosting accounts have shared IP addresses, and dedicated IP addresses are not available.

Anyway, I don't know what any of that means, but I have never had such a notification before, and I've had this account for years.
Maybe Firefox is just now configured to call attention to it.

You are right. Recent updates to web browsers like Firefox and Chrome are causing them to report more warnings about unencrypted connections. I think that's what has changed in this case.
