I believe it would be interesting to add the possibility to put comments on Translation jobs. It could be questions, clarification requests, or comments on the pricing, etc.

I saw a repeated ad for a project with 0.1 - 0.03 USD/word and if the agency PM who put these ads understands the prices are ridiculous he/she will refrain from continuing this practice...

What do you think?

As I see it, the problem lies not only on those agencies and PMs, but also on the people that accept those rates. In the ad in question, how many people answered it?

Anyway, there’s already a space called “Quote notes” to be sent to the outsourcer. What I have been doing, when I happen to have time on my hands, is quote my rate, just for the sake of educating them…

Different objectives Apr 14

My proposition is different... These are public comments from users (could be anonymous or not)...

This is like open comments on a tender, it could be regarding the pricing, questions about the content, etc.

I’ve just seen an ad asking for resumes for a potential project (subject field: Advertising / Public Relations) that will be paid by the “princely” sum of $800 per month for 160 hours, meaning $5,5 per hour. To my surprise there are already 4 quotes!!!

For EN>DE they offer $960 per month for 160 hours.
The poster is based in India, where this sum is probabily not that bad, but what sort of clients use an India based agency for translations into German, knowing that the lower price... has a price?

(Where do I find the "Quote notes" on the ad pages?)

Some countries are to exclude Apr 18

Actually, from my experience, some countries are to exclude; principally China, India, Arab countries (even in the Gulf region), Turkey, Bulgaria, Roumania... For these countries, they do not consider quality as a focus value.
