I don't mean to underestimate the seriousness of plagarism, but... after reading this discussion I began to wonder if no one in the whole cyberworld considered my CV worthy of copying, after all the effort I spent on it. I would agree on this saying.
But, at least the person copying did realise after a few buttons pushed to alter such 'negative' action. And, of course we should take action on such matters in a wise manner.

What a strange recent job posting - no contact name, no address or even country of residence of the outsourcer, but the company under such name actually exists and their website looks very professional with all the necessary data. Somehow I can't put 2 & 2 together...

I agree with you that he should be banned from using Proz. And I believe actions against such fraud should be declared to member somehow.
Uploading a stolen CV is wrong not only because of the copyright infringement, but also because it attempts to cheat on potential customers.
When such cases are denounced the first concern is to make sure who copied whom and to have the improper copy deleted.
The second step is related to administrative actions taken with the offending profile. There are such action but, as stated above, they are not discussed in public.

If site rules contained something about this, that would probably discourage a lot of people from stealing intellectual property. Maybe there should be a rule stating that any theft of intellectual property will lead to a permanent ban of the thief.
It is not very clear to me why ProZ can't tell us what kind of administrative actions are taken in such situations. All I know is that this affects us all and it is pretty much everybody's business on this site (not on a case-per-case b...
