Since several years I'm an active member of this community. I understand more or less that commercials are necessary to support the idea behind.
But since several weeks the TRADOS ads on ProZ.com messages become a source of permanent aggression: Each and every printout takes at least 2 pages, the TRADOS ad takes more than 1/3 of the message body and I have to scroll down for maybe hidden informations from ProZ.com

The messages I recieve come without any ads: Kudoz, jobs etc.

Dear Hans,
If you click on "About", at the top of the page, then from the menu select "advertising", and after that click on "package deals", you can read all about what is going on.
However, the only solution I can think of is to submit a support request and ask if there is the possibility of opting not to have the advertising in e-mails sent to you.

Thanks, Astrid - but that's exactly what I want to avoid. I do not wish to keep myself busy with spam. I'm not interested in the 53rd offer a week. It's enough they advertise on the ProZ.com site.
But you are right, I better contact support.

In principle, it makes sense for members to have a way to opt out of advertising.
In a future release, we'll provide a means to opt out of "email trailer"-type advertising. Thanks for the suggestion.
