Hi there,



I was wondering whether it is possible to add a \"second email\" input box into one\'s profile.



It happens now and then that my email account (and I am sure that happens to all of us sometimes) is not reachable or bounces email back to the sender. Wouldn\'t it be a good idea to add a second email address so an email coming from proz can be re-posted to that second one?

Hi Mats,



I understand that you chose the solution of simply entering more email addresses within your profile. So people that go to your profile can contact you through this various email addresses.



What I am thinking of is a second email address proz can send job offers, replies to your Kudoz questions, forum postings, etc. directly in case, they get errors from your first email.

Hi Sonja,



this would be a great technical effort, and it\'s surely not the first technical problem to be solved.

I\'d suggest you another solution. If you have problems with bouncing emails, change your email address. You can get a free address with POP3 access and a good service eg. at www.gmx.net. I\'ve entered at ProZ.com a GMX address, and I\'ve never had bouncing problems.

In the personal settings in your profile page, there is a \'secondary e-mail\' option. I have no idea what this option does! I have one entered and have never received mail to it. Maybe it only comes into play if mails bounce on a permanent basis ...

It's in the "Edit personal data" page Dec 16, 2002

Comes under \"Edit personal data\", which is a bit confusing really as one might expect to find it under \"Edit email preferences\".



To Uwe: Tried your gmx link and found that it insists that you have a valid postal address in Germany, Austria or Switzerland.
