... it must be a scam!
I got this e-mail today, BCC to me, hence sent to an undetermined quantity of recipients.
I have a faint recollection of having received something similar or identical in the past.
From: martins James -
[email protected] Hello,
I and my colleagues will like to register for 4 weeks Language
lessons with you, during our stay in your country. We are 4 adults (2 men and 2
women) and we are all absolute beginners.
Date: 28th May - 22nd June 2018
Please check the availability and get back to me with the total cost.
We are all Australian Nationals and between the ages of 28-43yrs.
As soon as we confirm the availability and charge rate,we will issue an
advance payment before our arrival.
We do not necessarily need a certificate at the end of the lessons, all we want is to know the basics of the Language,I mean the day to day of the language.
If not available at the requested dates could you please suggest available dates as out dates and times are flexible..
Waiting to hear from you.
Regards,
Martins James

Typical... no country mentioned, no language implied.
They'll probably send a (bogus) check for a much higher amount, and ask for immediate refund of the balance, so they can buy their air tickets. Of course, it will take much longer to determine that the check is forged, than for you to send them actual cash.
