The other day someone was just bragging how their office could translate a certain very complex legal document through MT. i did not want to say anything because these were some high officials and not really talking to me. Ridiculous, how can anyone even think about translating any documents through Machine Translation. Ridiculous, how can anyone even think about translating any documents through Machine Translation. Song lyrics, perhaps if they want to know, vaguely, what the song is about, not to use them in any other way. I think all offices should strictly forbid any use of MT for any document translation, or any other formal purpose.

I think the IT companies should put a disclaimer on all MT software "Not intended for professional translation,' if they want to avoid future lawsuits.
