Despite having my adbolcker disabled. Perhaps because my membership has to be renewed in autumn? (automtic renewal still disabled, renewal will depend on how things will be improved until then)
There are also some ad display preferences you can set, I just don't remember where they are in the ProZ settings jungle.

Right-click on the ad or anywhere on the page, see "AdBlock - blocks ads across the web, in pop-up menu select Block this ad. Mine is gone.

My F5 controls brightness and nothing else

All in all, this whole exercise is beyond ridiculous.

Thank you Joseph. On my computer, the cross is in black and therefore not nearly as visible.
I couldn't even tell you what the ad is for, but I can tell you I don't like it popping up. Pop-ups are the most annoying form of advertising on internet.

So, when I see discounts like this (as an existing member) I always wonder, if the value I got for the (standard) price I paid during all those years might be closer to the discounted price being offered now...
