ProZ.com announces the beta release of “Prequalified Jobs” – a new tool part of the ProZ.com Job Posting system.

Prequalified jobs is designed to accelerate work from the outsourcer to the provider – reducing the amount of time required to setup, coordinate, and manage the job. This new feature It is ideally suited for quick turn around jobs.

With Prequalified jobs, the time needed to contact each provider, determine if who is available for a job, then finally send them the job is removed – allowing the entire team to focus on getting the work done.

Prequalified jobs consist of the following steps:

  1. Outsourcer specs out the job and chooses qualified service providers, who are automatically invited a few at a time.
  2. Interested providers quote on the job.
  3. Job is assigned and PO generated. Automatically, if a quote is below the outsourcer's pre-defined threshold, or manually, if quotes exceed the threshold.
  4. Provider completes the work, delivers the file, and submits invoice.

More information is available at proz.com/connect/pqjob/overview, and the option for prequalified jobs is available when a new job is posted. The initial beta is open to a limited set of corporate members.
