An offshore occupation. Reference to health and safety tasks that were previously carried out by "boresjef 1/2".
Chief tool pusher/deputy tool pusher? I got hits for the first, but none for the second.

Thomas Deschington (X) Jun 19, 2007:
This page (http://www.petroleumtraining.com/e_kurs_iwcf_boring.html) has ass. boresjef, boresjef and boreleder translated as assistant tool-pusher, tool-pusher and drilling superintendent respectively.

toolpusher

I found this in my dictionary from Kunnskapsforlaget: Petroleumsordliste. E-N/N-E.

Example sentence:

Toolpusher, Production Supervisor

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "I did actually find a job announcement for "assistant/night tool pusher", so Francis could be right here, but I think assistant tool pusher for Boresjef 2 might be the safest alternative here. Thanks to Vedis et al!"

toolpusher grade 1

There isn't the same system in the UK sector. It could of course just be 'toolpusher', who usually works from 6am to 6pm when activities are very busy, and boresjef 2 is 'night pusher', who usually works from 6pm to 6am when it is much quieter on the rig.
