السلام عليكم أيها الزملاء الأعزاء،

أرجو من فضلكم مناقشة إمكانية استخدام اسم الفاعل أو المفعول للتعبير عن اللاحقة الإنجليزية able، كالأمثلة التي نجدها في كتب الفلسفة مثلاً "ممكن الوجود" و"واجب الوجود" ولكنها صيغة تستعمل أيضًا في الجمل والعبارات العامة. ومن الأمثلة على ذلك -

detachable‏ - منفصل
searchable‏ - ممكن البحث
applicable‏ - ممكن التطبيق

ما رأيكم الكريم في هذه المسألة وشكرًا؛

الكلمة أصلها عربي وتعني قابل
able
والاسم قابلية وانتقلت لتصبح
ability

وبذلك قابل للوجود، قابل للبحث، قابل للتطبيق، قابل للفصل

وفي استخدامات أخرى صالح لكذا، عُرضة لكذا
edible
vulnerable

أولاً أود أن اشكرك جزيل الشكر على ردك الأكيد وجوابك المفيد جزاك الله ألف خير.

ثانيًا أود أن اسأل بخصوص كلمة "ممكن" مثل "ممكن الوجود" بدلاً من "قابل". هل يمكن استعمال الكلمتين بشكل متبادل أم للواحدة أفضلية عن الأخرى؟

ملاحظة - كلمة ممكن شائعة الاستخدام في كتب القرون الوسطى بنفس الطريقة التي نستعمل فيها كلمة "قابل" اليوم أثناء التعريب.

Can you possibly provide your direct example?

Do you want to translate the expression ممكن الوجود in the sense that appears in Islamic philosophy and logic books? Is this your question: whether this could be rendered as 'able'?

Or is it only about the two words?
In this case, ممكن وقابل, they are not the same! I wouldn't use them interchangeably.

In this case, ممكن وقابل, they are not the same! I wouldn't use them interchangeably.
نقول الإنسان ممكن الوجود
ولا نقول الإنسان قابل للوجود

Maybe whatever is قابل is already ممكن and already existing, but the opposite is not true.
الإنسان عرضة للمرض
المرَض ممكن علاجه
المريض قابل للشفاء
