According to https://www.isitdownrightnow.com, together with ProZ, various sites were down within the last 20 minutes:
elance, etsy, archive.org, chegg, wikileaks, whatsapp, messenger.yahoo.com, minecraft.net, comcast, tripadvisor, footlocker
Earlier today, one of my clients' websites was down for quite some time as well.

Unknown hackers are targeting users in Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Azerbaijan with spying malware distributed through user-created WhatsApp mods that customize or add new features to the service.

In the latest campaign, researchers at the cybersecurity firm Kaspersky discovered previously harmless WhatsApp mods that had been injected with malicious code designed to spy on Android users in Arabic and Azeri-speaking countries.

WhatsApp which is a Facebook-owned business subsidiary was out from service for a couple of hours on Wednesday. And as per our sources, the outage could have been caused by a possible cyber attack.

The service was down from 00:20 GMT+3 and was restored at around 2:20 GMT+3. ▲ Collapse
