Perhaps other people did the same...

I also tried through the bid link, but I don't think it went through because I did not fill in all the required fields.
I would also submit that a feature that would allow us to give feedback or ask questions to those offering jobs might be helpful. In a case like this who cares? But there are other cases in which a person may like to bid but would first like some clarifications.

I've worked for this company that posted a "Brazilian Spanish" project and I contacted them directly by email. Well, only if you consider the accents from the South (with some European influence, such as German and Dutch), the Southeast (where I come from, with a mix that goes from Italian to African influences), the Northeast (with strong accent on the vowels), and the North and Center (where there many native tribes remain). Apart from that, there would be some influence right on the border with Latin American countries where they do speak Spanish, but it does not justify the existense of a Spanish spoken in Brazil. Well, if they email me back and let me know what they meant by that, I'll come back here and let you guys know... ▲ Collapse | |

I sent them an email telling them I find their posting really amazing, and letting them know, in case they are not aware of it, that the official language in Brazil is Portuguese.

Hi all,
As we have pointed out in various discussions in the past, it would be preferable to contact a Jobs moderator in the case of obvious errors.
I have removed the job, asking the outsourcer to repost with the correct language pair. Given the time of the job posting, it would have been possible to get the correct assignment posted last night. Obviously, a discussion such as this one is more fun, but contacting Jobs mods is more efficient, I think.

Hello everybody,
Just for your info: I did send a message to the person that posted the project, so they knew.
They have replied: they of course knew they speak Portuguese in Brazil, just an inadverted error...
Hopefully the job is done and over with now, into Brazilian Portuguese ).
Best,
