Hola a todos,

Hace unos días bajé OmegaT en mi computador. Actualmente, estoy trabajando en la traducción de un
texto pequeño, mientras leo el manual, para familiarizarme con el programa. Hasta ahora, no he sido capaz de usar el teclado en español de la manera que lo hago en Word y no sé cómo activarlo. Hace unos días bajé OmegaT en mi computador. Actualmente, estoy trabajando en la traducción de un
texto pequeño, mientras leo el manual, para familiarizarme con el programa. Hasta ahora, no he sido capaz de usar el teclado en español de la manera que lo hago en Word y no sé cómo activarlo. Creo que se me puede ir la vida tratando de encontrar aquel link perdido donde está explicado. Si alguien lo tiene a la mano, o tiene la gentileza samaritana de orientarme, les quedaría muy agradecido.

You haven’t provided any detail, thus it’s not really clear what is the problem. I have no problem typing Spanish characters using the US (Int’l) layout under Windows 7 or openSUSE Linux 12.3. Character input is generally beyond the scope of OmegaT, it’s the feature of your operating system. In order to enable the Spanish layout, right-click on the layout indicator in the tray to see the options.

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer. I did exactly as you suggested and problem is solved. I was always able to type Spanish characters using key-shortcuts in Word. These were not recognized by OmegaT. By enabling the Spanish keyboard, I now can switch back and forth between both languages (English-Spanish) at ease. What a relief!
