Interesting article. Surprising, since Spanish is the only one non-English "official language" used in 2010 Census individual census responder forms.

Similar mistakes appeared in translations of the Arabic-language items for the 2010 Census. When those errors were pointed out to the Regional Census Centers which distributed the materials, responses included that [1] "it was too late to make corrected versions", [2] "such errors overall did not matter", or [3] sil...
