There hasn't been a new post for a while, so I thought I'd get the ball rolling again. I just recently saw the movie "Sto je muskarac bez brkova" here in Los Angeles at the Silver Lake film festival. There hasn't been a new post for a while, so I thought I'd get the ball rolling again. I just recently saw the movie "Sto je muskarac bez brkova" here in Los Angeles at the Silver Lake film festival. I enjoyed the movie, but not as much as the book (somehow movies don't seem to be able to match our own imaginations - plus, there were many things changed from the book).

But the reason for my post is that I was paying attention to the subtitles, and they were pretty much okay, but some things were off in translation, not to mention some obvious typo-s. I'm wondering if anyone knows how these movies, that are made by film makers in Bosnia/Croatia/Serbia come to be subtitled? Where do they go for subtitling, and what is the process? I have done some subtitling here in LA for TV, but am not sure about how it works with film production companies, and would love to be able to potentially do some of this work, or at least be a "last check" before they go out on the international market.

Any insights from those who know would be much appreciated.
