Remove any defective glazing material, clean rebates and any loose or open joints and replace any rotten wood or defective knots with new pre-treated timbers scarfed in to match existing, rub down all surfaces to remove any grey weathered wood and surface sheen from remaining coatings, then dust off and dry sand where necessary.
